The goal of this proposal was to design a public space that supports the Gowanus Canal Conservancy’s mission and vision through new amenities and infrastructure with three principles in mind:

1. Making it open: Creating green space and parkland along the shores.

2. Getting it clean: Ensuring the water, soil and air are healthy.

3. Bringing it alive: Fostering ecological, business and cultural activity in the watershed.
